Frog Hollow Farm, Brentwood, CA

In 1996 Dr. Northon created this map of Frog Hollow Farms for "Farmer Al" Courchesne. Based on airphotos and field checking, the maps were developed to facilitate management of the farm and to keep the records necessary for organic certification. Different tables of information and notations can be put on the base map in order to accommodate each specific need, e.g. pest management, trimming, biological additives, etc.

Kensington Park, Kensington, CA

Dr. Northon was commissioned by the Kensington Outlook to create a series of maps illustrating issues relevant to bond passage for acquisition of lands concerning a community open space, park and recreation area. The newspaper editor felt that it was imperative to have the affected parcels visually presented in order to facilitate voter comprehension.

Pier 32 Market, San Francisco, CA

In 1994 Dr. Northon contracted with the management of Pier 32 Market to produce a location map with information geared toward parking and a proposed shuttle route. Using the Pier 32 Market logo and colors, this map was developed.

American Liberty Bank, Oakland, CA

American Liberty Bank, in an effort to provide low income areas in Oakland with mortgage lending, commissioned Dr. Northon to draft the adjacent map in 1991. The target areas, highlighted by green on the map, were census tracts that were considered low income areas. The maps were printed and distributed to local realtors who were encouraged to assist buyers and sellers in these areas.
