Water Quality Maps for Selected Sites on Moorea, French Polynesia

While Dr. Northon was working with students in Moorea during the fall of 1995, she became interested in the quality of the local waters, particularly since she and her students were doing a considerable amount of snorkeling and diving. She gathered qualitative data from Moorea's mayoral office and produced these thematic maps. When she returned to Moorea in 1996, she updated the map. Subsequently, she has used this in part of her ongoing research.

Contra Costa County Recycling Plans, Contra Costa County, CA

Contra Costa County has been working to develop long-range waste reduction plans for the county. Thematic maps were completed that showed the 1992 waste breakdown in tonnage by type and landfill in addition to maps that illustrated disposal and transfer site plans for 2000.
